atl1996 celebrates the legacy of the year 1996 in the city and highlights the lasting impact it had on the world. The creation of an Atlanta native who was once just a little kid sneaking off to listen to ATLiens, witnessing Muhammad Ali light the torch, who idolized Michael Johnson and his iconic gold shoes, loved Izzy the Mascot, was stuck in traffic during Freaknik, and forever fell in love with the city of Atlanta and all its charm.
This is an ode to the past and a nod to the future.
